Whenever I meet someone new to PPC I like to find out who they are following, and if it someone new I can learn from. There seems to be a lot of good ppc blogs out there, and even more Great Posts. So with that in mind I thought maybe I would show you who is currently on my rss feed reader. It has changed, so if you look at the links page, this will be different than when I put that page up. Oh, and all of these will open in a new window!

Here goes, in no particular order:

Zac Johnson- I love this blog because he does some great posts on PPC, look for his ppc guide posts. They might be older but they have good info.

Jonathan Volk- When I first started learning PPC I loved this blog. A lot of great posts are older. Lately he is getting more personal which is great because people like to read more than PPC, but every now and then he has an awesome post, so he can write whatever he wants, I will stay subscribed.

Uberaffiliate- This guy is Paul, He has great posts and even had a forum at one point he was teaching ppc and marketing through. He still comes out with good posts and just recently did a Q/A post with lots of good information.

ClickConsultants- Derek or Mystical is a great teacher, he has a blog and a forum you can learn a ton from. The forum is $30 a month, and I was a member there for quite awhile, before I realized I just needed to start doing and stick with something instead of just learning more and more. He often writes good posts that are helpful to anyone doing affiliate marketing. He even does some kind of blog talk radio.

Super Affiliate Mindset- Amit Mehta, I love this guy. He is one of the teachers at PPC Classroom 2.0 and he is just amazing. While PPC classroom got off to a rocky start with the site not going live when it was suppose to and then the forum dying, they have really turned things around over there. I even redid my membership so I could get access because the forum picked back up. They have weekly webinars and sometimes even a couple a week. There are lots of coaches there now, and they are amazing. But this blog itself has some great posts about keywords, such as wide and deep keywords. I find that a lot of his information (when not personal) is really helpful to my business.

CDF Networks- This guy is great at thinking outside the box. He has a lot of awesome posts as well, that should really help anyone getting started in ppc.

ShoeMoney- This isn’t so much about ppc but he reports some very useful information and important news that affects affiliates. Just a great blog for the most part, and I love reading about his growing business.

PPC Hero- Almost every post on this blog is useful information that has to do with PPC, you could spend hours on this site just reading what they have to say. There are several authors as well, so you are getting a great education with this one.

I have been learning about ppc and several different strategies to make money with ppc for almost a year now. I learned way too much before I really decided to jump in and just start learning from my own experience. I have seen inside so many ppc courses I should probably put together some reviews, because I know what each one teaches and who is the most helpful.

With all of that I have started doing my own launching, which is a combination of different methods I have learned and so far it is going rather well. The first campaign, on the first day, I spent $3 in ads and made $36.50 That was pretty exciting. Now I just have to scale it up. By the end of that day, I was at $8 in ads and $54 in sales. Awesome ROI.

What I have learned that so far seems the most important is choosing the keywords. While my bank is still growing, as I am adding to it, I don’t take a lot of chances, so I pay extra attention to what keywords I use. I am currently not throwing a ton of keywords into a campaign and seeing what sticks.

I know some people like to have small campaigns with what can be called buy keywords, and then there are others that have huge campaigns because you never know for sure what is going to work, and I agree with both. But I think for starters without a TON of cash have to be careful and pay attention to the keywords they use.

On the other hand, when you do strike gold with a campaign you must scale, right? For instance the campaign I talk about above had 80 keywords, carefully chosen.

Anyway, my point in this post is the more campaigns I am putting together, the more ads I tweak and the more keyword research I do, the closer I feel I am getting to success. It isn’t the courses, the one on one, the webinars, or any of that, (while a lot did help) it is the hands on training that you remember most, and I think that is the most important part. On the job training!

I started this blog awhile back so that I had some place to send people to who wanted to learn more about me, when I post to other sites. I am a huge fan of a lot of PPC Blogs and Super Affiliates and I like the whole community of doing ppc.

At the beginning of this month I got a comment from a lady who used my link to sign up for PPC Coach. To give her privacy I have edited out her aim name that she shared.

I just talked to her last night and from what I understand she has been in ppc coach for a few months, but has been actively working on campaigns for about 4 weeks. She is now up to $100 a day.

I realize this is not as great as some would want, but I love her drive. She talks about how little she knows and how she is learning on the job, but she is doing AWESOME!

So many of us wait until we think we know everything and then we get our feet wet. This girl learned the minimum and jumped in. She is happy with her $100 a day but wants to increase it. (btw last week she was at $20-$60 a day) I just want to say, I really admire how great she is doing, and by starting with a site like PPC Coach you can do it too.

Lately I am receiving a lot of b.s. comments. I don’t mean comments that are obviously spam. I mean comments that say something like “great site, keep up the good work”, or “thanks for the good information, i love this site”.

At first look they seem like good comments, but on the other hand, they could actually be spam, right? I mean, they definitely aren’t adding to the posts at all, and they could be the same comment on every other site out there.

That is why, I have let a few slide through, but starting today NO MORE! If you want to comment on my site, make it worthwhile to my readers, give back to the post that I made and say something worth reading.

For those of you who want to spam, I am not taking it anymore. Stop giving me extra work, for others who like the site, please comment. I love reading what you all have to say.
