5 Campaign Update
Sunday, November 9, 2008 23:22I have gotten a few instant messages from some people who read this blog and want to know how my 5 campaign spree went.
First it took me a few days to get them all ready and uploaded. Then the nail biting began. The first couple of days were more watching than anything else. I was moving pretty slowly with pretty low daily budgets because I didnt want to miss something and lose all of my budget for testing. Sometimes I have done this, where I forget that the ad destination and keyword destination can actually be different and I lose money on that.
To sum it up, my 5 campaign launch didnt go great. I still have 2 of the campaigns running, and while profitable, its very little, and I should either figure something out or stop wasting my time with them. The profit is just a couple of dollars a day.
Im not giving up though. Im still working on getting through the ppc classroom course one more time before I try another 5 campaign launch. I am also watching commission blueprint, and have gained access to another month at ppc coach.
If you are interested in getting commission blueprint let me just tell you now it is incredibly long, there are a ton of videos. While they are really good, I am not the average person and I HATE watching videos. So far I can add up the 20 or so videos on average are 17 minutes a piece. Im a multitasker so this kills me.

Amit says that when the campaigns are breaking even, that’s a good sign. I guess that’s the reason for the whole module about optimisation! There’s also the scaling videos on Commission Blueprint. I did get it, and it’s a very good product. I think that Commission Blueprint along with PPC Classroom makes the best PPC training available.
If you don’t want to watch all the videos entirely, scroll down on the thank you page and there’s a section for “Printable slides”. Those are from the PowerPoint presentations that are used in the videos. I basically check those out, and if there’s something that I want to learn more about, i’ll watch the video.

I looked at Commission Blueprint but decided not to get it. But I’m interested in hearing more about it from fellow PPCC classmates.
I wouldn’t drop those profitable campaigns too quickly just because the amount of profit is small. Some campaigns will get better over time - click costs go down, sales go up, etc.
Will you be at the LIve Event in December? I’d love to meet up with fellow students in person.

Welcome to the PPC arena you are going to do great, let me know if you ever need any help. Sometimes I think we have to many videos and were unable to get started or have to much information, at least your profiting, it’ll scale fast. love the domain ppcmom.com thats great, never seen that before

Lol, you had a 40% success rate and you aren’t happy? Ok, so they aren’t terribly profitable, but they are profitable which means you can test until you maximize your return and then bump your daily budget to increase the amount of profit. It sounds like you did good to me.

@Alex, Im working on getting through those videos again. I did combine all of the pdfs from Commission Blueprint into one so that it was easier for me. I am listening to a video or two a day if I can.
@PPC Studen I love commission blueprint, but I might just be crazy about ppc. I think what makes it good for me is how he talks about the story of selling and how important that is. I wont be at the live event because Im too busy in December.
@Wes thanks for visiting I love this domain too, its hard to get a domain this short that makes sense anymore. Btw, Prosper 202 is great.
@Dennis I guess its just that the traffic is sooooo sloooowwww… Drives me crazy. I will keep working on it though.

I found you from ppc classroom. Are you the tickelbug from ppv coach? I didn’t have any luck with it and dropped out.
