My last post was a bit mean as I attacked people that are not using adwords in a smart way. I guess I just meant to remind you to look at where you are getting clicks, and for what keywords. It is a report you can run that will tell you. I get worried when it comes to these things because I am always unsure whether I want to use phrase or exact match.

I do try to make great negative lists and I spend a lot of time on them, but doesn’t it seem like something always slips through the cracks?

Adwords is definitely tricky to say the least.

I just want to add one more thing, in 2009 I want to do at least 5 campaigns a month. That means 60 campaigns this year. Here’s hoping I can get these done.

Just to give you all an update, I am sticking with the content network right now and advertising a few things from Clickbank. At first it went really well, but once I started tweaking it, the first campaign went south. After a couple hundred in loses from that campaign I have started a new one. I will of course keep this blog updated, but as of right now I am spending very little every day.

Oh, and I am still a member of PPC Coach, and they just released more on the tracking script which lets you import your info from Adwords, (awesome!) and they released another method for month 4. That means in the first 6 months you get 10 campaign methods to work with.

I didn’t want to wait all weekend (Im a bit impatient) so I started another campaign and started collecting clicks. So, they will let you start new campaigns and change your Maximum cpc without review.

I did increase my cpc for the original campaign once it went back live today. Of course I got a million clicks and little data, even though I only have 20 keywords in the group. Remember this is the content network, on the search network I wouldn’t put more than one keyword in an adgroup.

So, now I have a bunch of clicks, no more sales, have decreased my bids again on this original one cause everyone was clicking on it, and I want a few less clicks. We will see, as with all ppc campaigns there is a lot of tweaking to do.

Ghostwriting- I did a wso on wf to get some instant cash flow.

PPC Help- Ive met some people who have less ppc knowledge than me, so I have been trying to help them. I figured I have a good knowledge now between all the courses Ive gone through. Im hoping to get some testimonials in case I want to do it as a service later on.

Content network- I decided I didnt have a lot of money to play around on the search network before I could see a return. So I chose a product and set up a content network campaign. This is where I could use some help. I set it up, direct linking and let it go.

Day 1- spent $12 then had to fix tracking.

Day 2- spent another $12, got 2 sales for $67 income and profit of $43, then I increased the daily budget.

Since then (yesterday) no impressions. Any ideas?

First it took me a few days to get them all ready and uploaded. Then the nail biting began. The first couple of days were more watching than anything else. I was moving pretty slowly with pretty low daily budgets because I didnt want to miss something and lose all of my budget for testing. Sometimes I have done this, where I forget that the ad destination and keyword destination can actually be different and I lose money on that.

To sum it up, my 5 campaign launch didnt go great. I still have 2 of the campaigns running, and while profitable, its very little, and I should either figure something out or stop wasting my time with them. The profit is just a couple of dollars a day.

Im not giving up though. Im still working on getting through the ppc classroom course one more time before I try another 5 campaign launch. I am also watching commission blueprint, and have gained access to another month at ppc coach.

If you are interested in getting commission blueprint let me just tell you now it is incredibly long, there are a ton of videos. While they are really good, I am not the average person and I HATE watching videos. So far I can add up the 20 or so videos on average are 17 minutes a piece. Im a multitasker so this kills me.

PPC - I admit I do this much better than I ever did before.

So, with the failure of the last campaign (which was 200 clicks, $100 and no conversions at all) I got a little scared. Basically what if I try again and nothing good happens? Can I afford to keep losing money by investing into my education at this point with our economy? Does anyone else feel the same way?

Today though, I had a breakthrough. I am going to be putting together 5 full campaigns and launching them all at the same time. I think this will break my “fear factor”. I know Amit says the worst thing is being a Super Scared Affiliate and I figure I just can’t be the only one.

If I don’t post for a few days or even until next week, this is why. I am trying to get past the fear. Have you ever had a similar problem to what I am going through?

I joined PPC Classroom, and to tell you the truth I love it, really I do. I think there is a lot in there that is really useful information and I have even made a campaign out of the information I have learned there. The campaign went really well and I ended with an average 3% CTR. I figured that was pretty good. I didn’t however get any conversions at all.

Im not exactly sure why, but it could be that the sales page ( i was direct linking) wasnt great, or it could be I was targetting the wrong words, I only spent $70 and I got 200 or so clicks. I thought that was good enough to know it wasn’t going anywhere.

So, what am I doing NOW?

Well, the product I had chosen was one on Clickbank, so I have gone and gotten Commission Blueprint and I am going to incorporate that with my PPC Classroom learning and my PPC Coach tracking and of course Awesome forum.

The forum, by the way, is the reason I am not Extremely happy with PPC Classroom. The forum doesn’t open for another month. What the heck is that all about? And I still havent received my refund for the $297 upsell I accidentally bought. Long story…

I still think the product and the bonuses are great and if anyone wants to chat about PPC Classroom, please let me know, by leaving a comment and we can talk all about what we are learning.

The partner bonuses are just as good too. I only got to use a couple of them because I am on a mac, but I might be able to get my mac to run windows soon, so I will use them. Anyways, I recommend everyone get the free year of Word Butler if you can. It is great.

On top of that I have a video to make in which I am going to show you how you can still do everything Amit teaches in module 4 but even faster and without buying more tools. Digdb looks great, but why purchase it if you don’t have to, right?

I also just added a few list cleaning tools at the bottom of the tools page, you will see it is updated with 3 more tools.

It does look like they are going to offer something else really soon. I hope it is the forum, that is the biggest thing I am interested in. I want to start talking to all the other people who are doing ppc classroom. I still have to say I definitely love the information. I am going into the keyword module today and I already have learned a few really useful tips from the first module on offer research.

I was so excited to get in, but… it didn’t last long. First there were the upsells of course. That’s fine, except, if you clicked yes on any of them to get more information or add to a cart or something, the order was instantly processed. And these were not cheap upsells, they were worth it, but it was a bit shocking that the site was a little misleading.

Unfortunately that’s not the only place I was less than thrilled. Once you could actually access the site, around 6pm tonight a lot of it wasn’t ready. The modules and training are, and I guess that is the most important part but I loved the monthly niche idea and the videos and the bonuses. Guess what? None of them are working. Not only that but there is no access to a forum. I thought for sure they should have had a forum up for pre launch because so many people wanted to talk about it.

So, needless to say, I did start the training, and while I suppose there isn’t a lot of need for note taking the information is fantastic and I already learned from the first module I chose to work in. So it is worth your time, I just dont like all the hassle.
